A Clay bar service’s primary goal is to remove contaminants in the paint and bring back a smooth surface without polishing the paint. We use an iron remover and spray it on the paint to remove iron from within the paints surface. Then with a clay bar or mitt and soap, we go over the paint delicately to remove other micro contaminants, some that also aren’t visible. 

Clay bars can also remove minor paint overspray on vehicles and very light concrete splatter. However this process is necessary before each and every form of paint correction and ceramic coating including a form of correction. 

Clay Baring is a vital step in preparation for those services but can definitely be used as an add on to an exterior detail!
