1. OVERVIEW

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the ceramic coating
warranty (“Warranty”) provided by JC Detailing Services (“JC
Detailing”, “we”, “us”, “our”) to the customer (“you”, “your”)
in relation to ceramic coating services performed on your vehicle.

By proceeding with a ceramic coating service, you agree to be
bound by these Terms.

These Terms are subject to, and do not limit, your rights under
the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) as set out in Schedule 2 of
the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

2. WARRANTY PACKAGES & PERIODS

The following warranty periods apply based on the package
selected at the time of service:

NEW CAR PACKAGES
– Basic 2-year warranty
– Premium 3-year warranty
– Platinum 5-year warranty

USED CAR PACKAGES
– Basic 1-year warranty
– Premium 2-year warranty
– Platinum 3-year warranty

– Interior Coatings 1-year warranty

The applicable package and warranty period will be confirmed in
writing at the time of service. The warranty period commences on
the date the ceramic coating service is completed.

3. WHAT THE WARRANTY COVERS

Subject to these Terms, this Warranty covers:

a) Premature coating failure – where the ceramic coating
delaminates, peels, or otherwise fails structurally under
normal conditions within the warranty period, due to
defective application by JC Detailing.

b) Loss of hydrophobicity – where the coating loses its
water-repelling properties within the warranty period
due to defective application by JC Detailing.

This Warranty applies only to the original vehicle on which the
coating was applied and is non-transferable.

4. WHAT THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

This Warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by, or
resulting from, any of the following:

a) Use of automatic or tunnel carwashes at any time during
the warranty period.

b) Use of cleaning products that are not pH neutral,
including but not limited to acidic or alkaline
degreasers, abrasive compounds, or non-approved
detailing chemicals.

c) Chemical or paint correction work performed by a third
party without prior written consultation and approval
from JC Detailing.

d) Physical damage including scratches, swirl marks, stone
chips, dents, or abrasion caused by improper washing
technique or external impact.

e) Environmental damage including but not limited to bird
dropping etching, tree sap, industrial fallout, or hard
water spots where the contaminant was not promptly removed.

f) Neglect or failure to comply with the maintenance
requirements set out in Section 5 of these Terms.

g) Normal wear and tear over the life of the coating.

h) Damage resulting from accident, misuse, or negligence.

i) Any coating or vehicle modification applied or performed
after the initial service without JC Detailing’s prior
written approval.

5. WARRANTY CONDITIONS – CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS

To maintain the validity of this Warranty, you must comply with
all of the following conditions throughout the warranty period:

5.1 CARWASH RESTRICTION
You must not use automatic or tunnel carwashes. Your vehicle
must be washed by hand only.

5.2 PH NEUTRAL PRODUCTS ONLY
All cleaning and maintenance products used on the coated
surfaces must be pH neutral and suitable for use on ceramic
coatings. The use of acidic or alkaline products will void
this Warranty.

5.3 THIRD-PARTY CHEMICAL OR PAINT WORK
Any chemical treatment, paint correction, paint protection
film (PPF), or other surface work performed by a third party
must be discussed with and approved in writing by JC Detailing
prior to the work being carried out. Failure to obtain prior
approval will void this Warranty.

5.4 ANNUAL MAINTENANCE CHECK-IN
You are required to bring your vehicle to JC Detailing for
an annual maintenance check-in during each year of the
warranty period. This check-in includes:

– An exterior detail (wash, decontamination, and
inspection), the cost of which is payable by you at
the standard rate applicable at the time of the visit.
– A complimentary coating top-up/maintenance treatment
applied by JC Detailing at no additional charge,
provided the coating is in satisfactory condition.

Failure to complete the annual check-in within 12 months of
the service date (or the previous check-in date) may result
in the Warranty being voided. Please contact us to schedule
your check-in appointment.

Failure to comply with any of the above conditions may, at JC
Detailing’s reasonable discretion, void this Warranty in full
or in part.

6. HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM

If you believe your ceramic coating has failed and wish to make
a claim under this Warranty, please follow the steps below:

Step 1 – Contact JC Detailing
Notify us as soon as you become aware of the issue, and no
later than 30 days after first noticing the problem. Contact
us via:

Phone: 0491 034 469
Email: admin@jcdetailingservices.com.au

Step 2 – Provide Documentation
When contacting us, please provide:
– Your name and contact details
– Your vehicle’s make, model, year, and registration
– The date the ceramic coating was applied
– A clear description of the issue
– Photographs clearly showing the affected area(s)

Step 3 – Vehicle Inspection
We will assess your claim and, if required, ask you to bring
the vehicle to our Brisbane location for a physical inspection.
We will endeavour to arrange this inspection within a
reasonable timeframe.

Step 4 – Assessment & Outcome
Following inspection, JC Detailing will determine whether the
issue falls within the scope of this Warranty. We will notify
you of the outcome in writing.

Claims made outside the 30-day reporting window, or where the
vehicle cannot be made available for inspection, may be declined
at JC Detailing’s reasonable discretion.

7. WARRANTY REMEDY

If a valid warranty claim is accepted, JC Detailing will, at
our election:

a) Re-apply the ceramic coating to the affected area(s) or
the full vehicle, as reasonably determined by JC Detailing;
or

b) Apply an equivalent replacement coating of equal or
greater value.

In the event of a warranty re-coat:

– JC Detailing will perform the re-coat at no charge for
the coating application itself.
– You will be responsible for paying the cost of a
pre-coat exterior wash/decontamination, charged at our
standard rate applicable at the time of the warranty
service.
– The re-coated area will be covered by a new warranty
period equivalent to the original package selected.

We reserve the right to assess the vehicle prior to performing
any warranty work. Where vehicle condition has deteriorated due
to neglect or non-compliance with these Terms, we may decline
the claim or adjust the remedy accordingly.

8. AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under
the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement
or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other
reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to
have services remedied if they fail to be of acceptable quality
and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any
right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or
condition, implied or imposed by the ACL that cannot be lawfully
excluded or limited.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

a) This Warranty is limited to the remedies set out in
Section 7 and does not extend to any indirect, special,
or consequential loss or damage.

b) JC Detailing’s total liability under this Warranty shall
not exceed the original cost of the ceramic coating
service paid by you.

c) JC Detailing is not liable for damage caused by events
outside our reasonable control, including but not limited
to weather events, accidents, vandalism, or damage caused
by third parties.

10. GENERAL

10.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland,
Australia.

10.2 JC Detailing reserves the right to amend these Terms
from time to time. Any amendments will apply to
services performed after the date of amendment and
will not affect existing warranties already in place.

10.3 If any provision of these Terms is found to be
unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in
full force and effect.

10.4 This Warranty is personal to you and applies only to
the vehicle specified at the time of service. It
cannot be transferred to another person or vehicle.
